Bug check 0x8E

I got this bug while playing with XP in VMWare.
Anyone know what it means? I didn’t find any description online.

Do you have SoftIce installed on your host machine? I’ve never gotten
VMWare to work if this is the case. (Reported this bug to them ages ago,
if they ever get around to fixing it I’ll gladly become a customer
again).

I have the same problem with VMWare and SoftICE. They didn’t fix it yet

  • they don’t even think it is SoftICE problem:-)
    No, SoftICE is not running.
I get this in the Guest machine, not the host. According to some points
I found this is usually caused by Roxio drivers, but nothing more.

Regards, Dejan.
