autochk at boot

Does Win2k run autocheck every time the system starts, regardless of checked
or free build, and regardless of Professional or Workstation?

Thanks

Hmm. I haven’t played with 2000 for a while, but I seem to recall that the
BootExecute value in the:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager
key has the same autochk entry that my XP systems have.

If the volume is clean, the autochk stops right there. If the volume is
dirty, or an explicit chkdsk is scheduled, then it runs to completion.

Thanks - I thought so, just looking for sanity check confirmation.
