For various reasons all having to do with virtualization, I have a win7 x64
‘hardware’ platform that has in intel ac97 sound device, for which there
appears to be no device driver. Win7 32bit is happy to install a 32bit AC97
driver, but no such driver appears to exist from either realtek or intel for
win7 x64.
All of which is preamble to: has anyone actually built and installed the
audio ac97 sample driver successfully for vista or win7 platforms, and more
specifically for win7 x64 platforms?
I’ve built it, but it is a non-starter. Before I plunge down this rat hole
I’d like to know if there is a known depth.
