Are SIDs for only local machine or are there SIDs related with active directory /domain controller ?

If it is then how can i get SIDs related with active directory /domain controller ?

I only got the hostname mapping in active directory. I
dont think using the SID will provide the unique
identification. You will probably need to generate a
GUID. You can then add this to your network in active
directory. Map the GUID<->hostname mapping. Make
sence?
