2003 R2 check build

Our driver requires Windows Server 2003 R2 and it would be nice to develop
on a checked build of the OS. My plan is to install the Server 2003 SP1
checked build, then upgrade to R2 (free build).

Do you think this will this work?
Will all the important checked-build files get replaced by R2 files?

Demyn

I don’t see any reason why that would work. On the off chance that R2
contains absolutely no kernel mode components you might end up with a
checked kernel, but even then I doubt it. If you want to test agains the
checked build of R2 you need to install the checked build of R2. That said,
just where one might get the checked distribution of R2, if it exists, is a
very good question. It does not seem to be available for download from MSDN.
