1394 stack in Win7

Will we EVER have support for multiple 1394 busses in Win7…does anyone know anything about that?

Windows does support multiple 1394 host controllers running in a system along with 1394 devices plugged into them. Are you not seeing this, ie, is a 1394 hc/device banged out in Device Manager?

Or are you referring to Windows supporting 1394 bridging, ie, each 1394 controller running as a separate bus and identified by a bus number? Windows doesn’t support 1394 bridges.

Yes, I do mean bridging; ie…iso stream at 2xS800 on 2 busses;

  • my original question was if there were/will EVER be any plans for supporting this? :slight_smile:
  • Raw asynchronous used to work with the port driver in XP
