I am thinking of using 1394 for Visual SoftIce and Windbg. I do not have
1394 cards.
I need to get a PCMCIA card for my laptop and PCI cards for desktops.
Which are the best cards I can buy (ignoring the cost for time being)
assuming working of the cards with windbg and Visual Softice as highest
priority.
-Srin.
I have heard that the card has to have a windbg stamp right next to the
manufacturer logo for it to work. apparently windbg uses 1395, a protocol
very similar but completely incompatible with standard 1394. is this true ?
It should work with any OHCI-compatible card - the chip designation of
Texas Instruments TSB12LVxx.
