cdrom.sys

Dear All,

how to force loading of cdrom.sys when there are no physical CDROM drives present? If it cannot find ScsiPortx adapter with CDROM devices attached it fails to load. I need this driver, because my CDROM device connected to the system (my CDROMs can be connected and disconnected to the computer without reboot) after startup doesn’t work without cdrom.sys and cdfs.sys loaded.

Any ideas?

Create a virtual CDROM device? This is the only way, offhand that I can
think of that you can convince a plug and play driver, sans real hardware,
to get loaded: you fake it out with pseudo hardware.
