Is Self Attestation Driver signing being withdrawn

I had some issues with signing a driver today (after accepting some agreements from Microsoft I managed to do this)

However after looking around at what could be the problem I came across this link.

Is self attestation going away? Do we all have to go down the WHCP route?

I am not really sure what ‘retail audience’ means.

No. What that says is Microsoft will no longer publish attestation-signed drivers in their driver library, which is what Windows searches if you tell it to “search for a suitable driver”.

Frankly, I didn’t think that was ever possible. I thought to PATH to the driver library always went directly through WHQL.

Okay thanks for that. My supervisor will be happy.
