The OS can do this internally, since WPS is required for WiFi Direct. However, there's not a public API to do it at-will. (In general, we deliberately avoided making fine-grained public APIs to manipulate SoftAP, out of a concern that it could be used to cause trouble.)
You can give the network profile via UPnP proxy. (Which, I admit, is probably not helpful to you, since it requires the target device to already have IP connectivity to the PC.) Start by initiating a search for devices using Function Discovery. This causes the OS to look for WPS devices over UPnP (but does not enable push-button over the Hosted Network). Then when a device is found, you can QueryInterface for IWCNDevice. You can SetNetworkProfile with any network credentials, incuding those of your Hosted Network.
Why is this in the WinDbg forum?
People... am I missing something? Why do people post to the wrong forums? Are the topics not described clearly? Is there something about the interface that makes where to post complicated or confusing?
This is happening every week, and I don’t understand why.
