Yes... Another Test Post

Hey!

If you’re getting this posts by email, I apologize. You can turn-off receiving email from this category.

But this IS another test post.

Peter

Congrats for the successful move

A question: how are prefixes supposed to work? Previously all NTDEV posts were prefixed as [ntdev] which I used for automatic filtering. Now it seems all posts have [OSR] prefix. Both NTDEV and A&A. My inbox was a bit flooded

Michal

Should be fixed now? Please confirm.

Peter (posting from his gmail account)

Great question, re: How the prefixes are supposed to be set. I see that they’re set to “OSR”… Let me look into that.

We’re also working on where the buttons are to allow you to DE-select getting emails from other categories that you’re not interested in…

Peter

Yep, this one was prefixed as [Announcements and Administration].

Michal

Test reply.

A .email TLD…?

As was mine! The old lists sent mail with headers like:

X-List-Name: NTDEV
or
X-List-Name: WINDBG

(Not quite RFC 2919’s List-Id, but worked.)

Is there any way for the new software to add a header back? It would
make filtering much more robust. (Subject line prefixes are fragile and
waste space, but I acknowledge easier for less technical filtering
solutions.)

Thanks for managing the lists. I can only imagine the headache.

Yeah… sorry about that. It’s sort of the nature of the beast… moving to a new Community. Lots of stuff changes. Sorry for the annoyances.

I appreciate the words of comfort. You know… the lists… they’re what I live for.

I’m not sure. Right now, I’m working with our hosts to try to get emails working for the “all email users” group at all – cuz at last check, they were entirely disabled.

Once we get that squared away, I’ll look at getting them to add an “X header” – As I may have alluded to elsewhere, we’re going to be tweaking the mail aspect for a while.
