Service Pack for Checked Build

Hello,
I’m installing Service Pack 4 for the Checked/Debug build of WinNT 4.
After the installation, I can’t run the Windows.
Do you know something about this?

Did you install it under Windows NT 4.0 Workstation Checked build? Do you
have a WinDbg hooked up? If so I recomend the following:

  1. Turn off your target machine
  2. Turn off your host machine.
  3. Turn on your host machine and start WinDbg. Make sure that only the
    command window is open and that no other windows are open.
  4. Start the target.

I have been in a similar situation before. To prevent the re-hang do not
use the .reboot command and always have everything but the command window
shut before restarting the target. Of course downloading the new WinDbg
might help as well. - Eric
