requires that a pointer to a Device Object be included in what was an
optional parameter under NT-4.
Some body had a better idea and had never RTFM'd the existing documentation.

I found my problem: opening PHYSICALDISK instead of
PHYSICALDRIVE.
This is really dumb. Everywhere disks are referenced as
DISK, so why do
they change it to DRIVE? Thanks M$!
