AFAIK, pretty much the only game in town right now is “Programming the
Microsoft Windows Driver Model” by Walter Oney, Microsoft Press. I’m sure
they’ll be other WDM-specific books soon.

An important feature of Walter’s book is that he makes it a point to discuss
the differences between writing WDM drivers for Windows 2000 versus 98.
Depending on what you’re driver does, there are some substantial
differences.

Also, “Developing Windows NT Device Drivers” by Edward N. Dekker and Joseph
M. Newcomer, Addison-Wesley, has a preliminary chapter about WDM and USB in
“Windows NT 5.0”. This book was released a bit earlier than Walter’s.
