Adding an out of band interface to a driver

massoud_navabmassoud_navab Member Posts: 261

I work on a WDI network driver, and would like to add an interface that could service requests outside (asynchronous to) the standard WDI/NDIS requests.

In the old days DriverEntry could call IoCreateDevice with a lot of hard-coded params. Is this still the only option? Basically the interface should support
the equivalent of open/close/ioctl.
