How portable or restrictive are MiniFilter drivers?

David_F.David_F. Posts: 161
Hi,

With normal drivers you can say build one for XP and use it all the way through W7 provided you didn't need some special thing added in a new release. With mini filter drivers is that the same or are they more sensitive and you must use the build environment for the actual platform?

TIA!!

  • It is the same deal. Of course you must make sure you handle your imports
right as with any kind of module in that sense.
Don't call Windows 8 only APIs in the XP environment is what I am basically
    trying to say here.
