WD-3 Newsletter Archive

Tim_RobertsTim_Roberts Member - All Emails Posts: 13,022
Many years ago (2003), driver luminary Walter Only got the bright idea to start an online newsletter written by driver developers, containing information that would be useful to other driver developers. Thus was born WD-3, the "Windows Driver Developer's Digest". WD-3 only lasted for 6 issues, but those issues were packed with good information that was simply not available elsewhere, including the only article ever written that describes how to write a ksproxy plugin for an AVStream driver.

Shortly after its demise, Walter moved out of computing and into the legal field. I was recently made aware that the wd-3.com domain had expired and has been snapped up by scummy spammers. (Don't go there -- it's a virus trap.) Fearing that the information might be lost forever, I wrote to Walter, and he was able to locate a complete archive. I have now restored that archive on http://timr.probo.com/wd3/ .

Hopefully, from this mention, the Google spider will traverse through the issues and restore some of the old links.
