About Off-Line files under W2000

Hi,
anyonw knows wich is the exact Windows 2000 behaviour when saving files
to a remote computer, when these files have been marked as “Available when
Off Line” ?

Wich are the steps Windows 2000 takes when saving such a files.
I have noticed that it creates a temporary file in the destination prior to
copy the actual
file. However I see lots of CREATE operation over the same target file. Why
is this ?

On the other hand, is this procedure the same when the target system is NT4?

Is it at all possible to work with “available when off-line files” when the
target system is NT4 ?

Thanks for any info.

Inaki.
