@OSRDrivers

what a good news for some people could never access Twitter!

Thanks for the feedback Mr. Chow.

We’ve already heard from a couple of folks who (a) Can’t use Twitter, (b) won’t use Twitter, (c) Aren’t allowed to access Twitter.

We’ll soon have our Twitter feed on OSR.COM… AND we’re working on another method that’ll allow folks to see the contents of our Tweets in real-time (such as via email).

I’m not cool enough to ever make Twitter account, but even I know how to read Twitter.

Congratulations! The new design is very nice.
Just one vexing thing: the articles that jump over pages.
Following these jumps is annoying. There’s no physical paper anymore, so
would it be possible to make all articles contiguous?

+1. I giggled at the table of contents.

Just one vexing thing: the articles that jump over pages.

+1. I wasn’t giggling anymore.

+1 for this. No, make that +10.

The missing piece of data is OSR does still print some copies. While it
takes a little bit of time, I have no problem with scrolling down to the
correct page to finish an article.

Thanks! We took particular pride in this one.

Well, we DO still print it. But I suppose we could make the articles contiguous with some work. We’d still have page breaks, though… would that be OK?

Here’s my question back to you guys: WHY are the page breaks vexing? I just click on the link to the next page, and there I am.

This isn’t the first time we’ve had this request. Perhaps if I understand better why people find the links annoying, I can motivate people here to do something about it. But given that I don’t understand the reason people find this even the slightest bit inconvenient, this isn’t something I can go argue for.

I think this is a fine trade-off. Call me nostalgic but I find the faux
print flow & layout just fine for reading electronically. The goal of the
breaks in printing is still relevant: let one skim through the entire
contents sequentially.

Thanks again for fine publication and special thanks to the contributing
authors.

Cheers,

I’m not cool enough to ever make Twitter account, but even I know how to
read Twitter.

I get quite enough trash per day (about 80 spams per hour, at last count)
that social media do not interest me. I don’t need to make myself more
visible.

For me, it’s not the page breaks that are vexing, but that articles are
not continued on the NEXT page. Having to keep track of where I was
when I finish reading an article is just a small annoyance which seems
unnecessary in an electronic document. Not a big deal; it’s not like
I’m going to stop reading The NT Insider because of it…

Thanks for all of years of useful content!
