Hi Roger,
Thanks for the comments, I’ll look at making the modification. I have
one question, did you try putting the -remote command in via the “Initial
Commands” window (lower left hand part of the configure dialog box)?

Mark,
I have been playing with WinDbgStart and I like it, I have some ideas for
enhancements.
- There is not way to configure a remote session, eg I sometimes start
WinDbg with the -remote cmd line option but there is not was to specify
this. I tried to edit windbg.ini by hand to add -remote but this stopped
WinDbgStart from starting. One way round this would be to add a additional
options box where the user can add his own options. - I have a large semi-colon separated source path, it would be nice to be
able to enter this into the source box and not have to browse to each
directory.
Keep up the good work!
Roger

Hi Mark,
Sorry I was only looking in the WinDbg docs and not the docs for
WinDbgStart, the difference is in the WinDbgStart docs, so you did not a
good job!!!
Yours

And I thought I did a good job on the documentation. One protocol is for
xp professional and the other is for .net, I believe.

Hi,
I was just playing with the OSR’s WinDbg start utility
(http://www.osr.com/resources_downloads.shtml) and noticed they allow the
users to change the 1394 protocol between ‘channel’ and ‘instance’, this
option passes ‘symlink=Instance’ or symlink=Channel on the command line to
WinDbg.
Does anyone know the difference?
I looked in the docs and it does not say anything.
Yours
Roger
