Hi all,
Since my last post on the sb 16pci problem, I returned the card.
On saturday I bought a sb pci128 oem model, and installed it my pc.
Under win nt 4 sp it works correctly,
But under win 2k the card now does not prevent booting. (Disabling master
pci write 0 and changing pci edge trigger to level trigger. I also made al
the interrupts not needed for pci devices legacy isa).
The sb 128 card is on i/o address 220h port 6200h irq 10h
When the pc reboots the driver says it is enabled, but the audo properties
page says the driver is enabled but not started.
How do you start the driver manualy,or at next reboot.
The mixer softere is also unable to find the card.
This occurs with both the driver of the win 2k cd and the onces supplied
by
creative.
Also the devie is not sellectable in the midi playback selection page
Can anyone who has this card working tell me what there setup is ?
Movin the sound card to slot 0, with s3 video card in slot 3 does not
cure
the problem.
my mother board has award bios from 97
and via vxpro chip set, plus 64mb ram and ibm p200 cpu.
1 usb philips vido camera is active and works correctly, using via usb
drivers.
