Problem in opening 1394 connection

I’ve been using 1394 for my kernel debugging for about a week and it was
working fine. Today the system started to act up on me. When I tried
to open the connection, windbg pops up a message box saying

Could not start kernel debugging using 1394:channel=1 parameters, Win32
error 2
The system cannot find the file specified.

The message area says:

Using 1394 for debugging
Failed to open 1394 channel 1
If this is the first time KD was run, this is why this failed.
Virtual 1394 Debugger Driver Installation will now be attempted
Kernel Debugger failed initialization, 0x80070002

Has anyone seen this before? I’ve tried reinstalling windbg and several
other things but it isn’t getting any better. So I’m just wondering if
anyone has a better idea about what’s going on. Thanks.
