WLK 1.6 classified device tests for XP

Hi All,
I hope this is the right place for WLK related questions.

WLK 1.6 does not seem to include classified device tests for XP anymore.
Is there a way of adding these tests (in this case for audio devices)? Or do I need to downgrade to an earlier WLK version (probably also the Windows Server the DTM controller is running on)? Which WLK would be the latest including classified device tests for XP?

Thanks for any hint where to look or what to do,
best regards,
Hagen.

Yes, classified tests for XP have been dropped (as part of Microsoft’s general move away from supporting XP). As reported in the Windows Logo Program Newsletter July 5th 2011 http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/hardware/hh410120 : “Device and system logos are no longer granted for Windows XP.”

Downgrading to WLK 1.5 might let you run the tests, but the results will be rejected if you try to submit them to Microsoft. Assuming you still want to sign/logo for Windows 7, I recommend not trashing your WLK 1.6 setup and instead build another, tiny, DTM setup for testing just XP.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, Tim,
for this super fast answer!

So Microsoft does not accept any XP submission anymore?
In case of audio driver this means having to run 7/Vista tests that includes fidelity tests requiring special equipment? (…or forward these tests to a third party)

best regards,
Hagen.

Microsoft appears to still be accepting unclassified XP submissions for driver signing.
