Laptop with kd'able 1394...

Does anyone know of a (cheap) laptop with builtin 1394 that works with KD?

Thanks,

mm

I’ve been using a Fujitsu for years. OK, it wasn’t exactly cheap when I bought it
about five years ago. In the meantime they have widened their range downwards as
well. Not usre if they all have 1394, though.

But how about a PCMCIA/Express card? You can get them for a small to medium two
digit number in most major currencies. That’s my usual fall-back for Laptops/ Pads
without 1394

The Lenovo’s will work, and I have had success with some Dells. However, the OSR 1394 PCMCIA card probably the cheapest and most reliable.

It seems that these days any expansion bus other than USB becomes more and more of a rarity in a laptop world - newly-produced laptops mostly don’t seem to have PCMCIA expansion slots, do they…

They have CardBus.
