INF version Vs Binary embedded Vesion

Hello,

For a file ssytem Legacy filter driver, if the version number in the INF
file differ from the one enbedded in the actrual binary being installed
would the instal process fail/complain? If it suceeds, which version will be
used/displayed?

Also, this sounds like something that can be very easily verified by
experiment. Did you try it and got unexpected results ? What were those
results ?

in my expt, I saw that the version in teh rc file is what is shown, teh INF
is ignored
