I was under the impression that the professionals here didn’t make fun of
each other.

In any case, I’m not too worried. A typical WDM-style driver, in which the
majority of code paths consist of a series of API calls interspersed with
small snippets of driver-specific code, does not lend itself very well to
optimization of any kind.
